'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League homecoming

Kane marks his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his desire in going back to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is at the moment two years through the four-year contract he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the offseason of 2023.

The veteran forward has accumulated an outstanding 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German team, playing a key role in them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the initial significant honor of his notable career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has previously stated that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he needs 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he previously was, and would seriously consider extending his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different opportunities and different moments happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top scorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had eluded him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
